The Rehab

To ensure that the Factory Schoolhouse survives well into the 21st century, TFS recently undertook a capital rehabilitation project, funded in part by a generous Adirondack Rural Revitalization Program grant from Adirondack Architectural Heritage. Improvements included a new front staircase, the restoration of the building’s fieldstone foundation, the replacement of the piers beneath the classroom, and the repair and repainting of the school’s original clapboard siding. We are grateful to our contractors, Adirondack Masonry, Steel Pines and Craig Hough for their stellar work.
